Adult versus youth bedroom sets?
I'm a rookie home decorator, and it's time to do my bedroom. I'm looking at new furniture, and it seems like all the 'adult' furniture is really dark wood, but some of the youth sets are cream or off white. I only need the dressers and such, so bed frame size isn't an issue. My question is, however- is cream-coloured furniture considered juvenile, and that's why I can't find it outside of the kid's section, or can I put it in my room and have it look age appropriate?

It's not in the color or finish, it's the style that determines that. A lot of people are into the, forgive me because I hate this term, but "shabby chic" style. It's white distressed wood. If you spend time shopping, you'll eventually come across the "right" thing for you and you will know it. The key is to take you time and enjoy yourself. Furniture is the only thing I enjoy shopping for.

First off, I don't think that it's considered juvenile and you should be able to put what you want n your room and have it look all right. What determines whether it's juvenile would be your choice of room colors, bedding, etc.
I did some checking and was able to find off-white/cream colored bedroom sets for adults in your area on the Sears Canada site:

Look at the Paula Deen, Harbourview and Beachwood Master bedroom sets. Hope this helps!
