What is the process of becoming a teacher through University?

I'm looking at teaching Art or History, so guides as to what I do in University to get this final, overall degree would be appreciated, and any helpful tips.

    Art or History related subjects are the only options! You can take a less mainstream subject but you'll have to study an SKE course to boost your curriculum knowledge afterward.

    You then study a PGCE in History or Art. I would recommend History if you want a job at the end of it!
