Can an 18 year old licensed driver teach a 20 year old permit driver how to drive?
My friend is 20 and I'm turning 19 next month, but she hasn't had the opportunity to have someone teach her how to drive since both of her parents are busy. She wants me to teach her but my parents are really against it because they said the instructor has to be 25 or older, but my friend read through the handbook and saw that that's only the case if the permit driver is under 18, which she isn't. She also read that if the permit driver is over 18, then a driver with a valid license can teach the person. I've had my license for 2 years already. Can I teach her? Or how do I convince my parents? They seem really keen on the 25+ idea and refuses to let me teach her.
PS: I have strict Asian parents so my dad says if I live under his house, I go by his rules even though I'm an adult and he says I can't teach her. .____________. Old Asian people. I swear.
PS: I'm not gonna throw her on the road and tell her to drive. Lol
I planned to start out in a large empty parking lot and start her out with simple turns.

Teach her without you're parents knowing whats going on, but i recommend finding a road with less or no traffic at all. Makes it easier on her and you when driving.Good luck!

Legally, yes, as long as the driver is licensed, you can teach someone with a permit.
