Just what the hell are our judges?
thinking of?
The radical Muslim cleric, Abu Qatada, described by the Home Office as a "very dangerous man" has been granted leave to remain in Britain, because to deport him to Jordan would be a breach of his 'human rights'.
This is the man who advocates acts of terrorism against the west, and the total destruction of the Jews, who openly congratulated Osama bin Laden on his campaign of death in western cities, and is publicly committed to further violent outrages against innocent people.
And he's not even in jail!
The judges granted him bail, freedom to walk among us unmolested.
And the judges further refused the Home Office leave to appeal against their decision.
When only recently, a motorist who refused to pay a speeding fine was jailed for 4 months!
It beggars not only belief, but all common sense.
Just what is WRONG with this bloody country?

He's cost our country £3m already Grumpy, you'd think they would be catapulting him out. Fair do's to Theresa May who has pushed for his deportation and is disgusted at this result.
It's Europe again stepping in and vetoing this as they feel he won't get a fair trial back home.
I emphatically say we ignore Europe on this one, stand firm and get rid of this hate figure straight away.

Nothing new: they always were just as bl**** awful. Consider the Somerset case of 1773. The East India Company discovered the enormous markup Sam Adams was putting on their tea and decided to sell it direct. Sam responded by having his thugs dump the first cargo into Boston Harbor and Britain had a riot on its hands, but nothing that could not be sorted out locally, However that was just as a Virginian slave owner was selling a valuable piece named Somerset to another slave owner in Jamaica and sending him via London (the cheapest way, like flying via your airline's hub city). However some looney liberal anti-slavery society made a law case out of it and the Lord Chief Justice of England (no less!) set the slave free by asserting there was no law about slavery in England. Southerners, appalled by this threat to their "peculiar institution" decided to support the Boston rioters and the rest is history: by 1781 Britain had lost its American colonies. Was there ever such a stupid misplaced legal interference with legitimate business on "human rights" grounds, or one that had worst consequences in the real world?

You're British, right?
Canada's laws are very similar to yours.
Shameful and a disgrace!
Murderers here are walking the streets after 4 years.
And just recently, a man was sentenced to 6 years for driving his tractor while under the influence of alcohol; on his own damned property!!!! (He had to cross a road)
This is a farmer with a family to look after.

I was once listening to a radio show about the court system. They were saying that the people that came in & would learn their lesson & never be back were punished the harshist.
They want to take a good kid & put in with bad people so he will come up & do more bad things. They create the revolving door for money.
So a kid who does something & they know he or she will be back is let off free. They know they will be back & more money will be paid. Parents who pay for lawyers are going to keep doing it.
So did you ever think this has nothing to do with justice or safety & everything to do with being paid off. Judges have kids to put through college, it cost money.

I completely agree. Sometimes the mind boggles, when you hear how amazingly stupid judges can be. And these are supposed to be the 'wisest' men in society. Sadly lacking in common sense, that's what it is.

Abu must have had either one helleva barrister or perhaps some palms may have been greased. These so called clerics seem to have some hefty monies that just seem to happen in their behalf.

they are out of touch with reality..they come from the old school..live in a respected safe neighbourhood with gardener.. drink and snooze at the old gentleman's club..grand illusions of nobility...sit at home drinking port in cut glass, farting none stop

The Judge must be a Cretin!, to allow a dangerous man loose on the streets, but the law can be an "***", and this is a frightening act of it!.....When will these people in high places, realise they are there to help the public, who they should be answering to, not to their own whims!.....

I have to wonder if the decisions of judges are influenced in part by their social life, they party with lawyers when they are lawyers themselves and so know each other socially, at least in the U.S....don't know about there.
