Part time employee at walmart, no holiday pay?
So someone I know just got hired, she applied for a full time but they only gave her parttime and only for the holidays, she is a temp. She did orientation and they told her she doesn't get holiday pay. Why wouldn't she? They are keeping her until after Christmas and they want her to work holidays.
So she doesn't get time and a half for holidays like thanksgiving?

Usually you don't get paid for holidays if you do not work if you are under your 90 days. If she works on Thanksgiving day, she will get paid, just not time 1/2. Also because she hasn't been there 90 days.

She'd get paid. They mean she would make her regular hourly rate no matter what day it is, not extra for holidays.
