How do YOU boil potatoes?

How do you boil your potatoes? I put mine in cold water then boil them, but some people like to boil their water first then put the potatoes in.

Your way is best, but I am too lazy to wait and put them in boiling water for 25 or so mins.

i put them in cold water and then let them come to a boil, boiling them about 20 minutes depending on size of potatoes

When I boil them I boil the water first, but from the kettle. Then I pour it into a pot and add the tatoes.

I usually microwave though. Much quicker and less washing up + I like the crispness and dryness you get from microwaved potatoes anyway! ;)

I don't think there is really a wrong or right answer here but I normally do it your way...cold water, then just add the potatoes...eventually they'll boil right? For softer vegetables like, Red Tomatoes I do boil the water first, then add the vegetables. I don't think it'll make a difference for a vegetable like a potato.
