would the heater core from a 1989 s10 fit in a 99 silverado?
i have recently got a 1999 chevy silvarado 1500 lt but the heater core is shot. my work has an old s10 that they said i could have any parts from. was just wondering if the heater core from the s10 would fit in the silverado. just want to make sure before i go through the hastle of ripping off the dash. also the fuel pump is going on the silverado so was wondering if the one from the s10 would work on it. Thanks in advance.
about 85-90 dollars for a new one. already looked into it. know what i have to do to get the core out. have no problem tearing the s10 apart.have all the time on the weekends.

you do realize how long it takes to remove a heater core from an s10 right.some of the newer models you just cut the ac/heat case under the hood, and monkey poop them back together according to my book.the older ones the complete dash must be removed.what did you save?

come on ace you want to rip out another OLD heater core? and stick it in so it can fail? those are cheap buy a new one stop screwing around and being too cheap for words. same with the fuel pump and no an s10 fuel pump is not going to work in a full size truck and once again an old nasty rusty fuel pump? gonna just slap it in? think about what you are doing. fenders or doors or steering wheels are one thing. 4 hours labor to pull a bad heater core then put it in your truck with 5 hours labor does not make a whole lot of sense does it? work smarter man not harder.

why not just buy new parts? thats A LOT of work to put used parts in! a heater core from autozone should be like 30 bucks
