Las Vegas hotels and their target markets?

Do Las Vegas hotels aim their marketing and decor at specific markets -- i.e., gays, Asians, blacks, cowboys, big-time gamblers, soccer moms. If so, what hotels/casinos aim for which markets?

Palazzo, Encore, Wynn, Bellagio for example target higher-spenders, of course. Then you have a huge mid-range section which goes from Paris/Caesars to Mirage for example... Then you have the lower end, more budget-oriented ones such as Excalibur, Luxor, Imperial Palace, Harrah's, Bally's etc. There are differences amongst these, for example Excalibur's nice is either budget families or groups of men travelling on a budget (of course also tons of couples on a tight budget). Imperial Palace target males on a budget, Luxor has a mix and their Pyramid rooms are really stunning, actually...

MGM now targets young crowds wanting to party, and so is - for example - Hard Rock. The list is endless

Hooters it not really a good hotel for anyone except lower-middle class single men in their late 30s-early 50s, that is their target market.

Its an ok hotel. But theres not many entertainment options within the hotel. Just take like a 10 min walk to the strip!

    Palms - Young Playboys

New York New York and Planet Hollywood - 20's and 30's party crowd

Aria - Young and successful crowd

MGM - Asian (They used to have an entrance thru a lion's mouth, but this is concidered unlucky in the Asian culture so they changed it. They also celebrate chinese new year)

Encore and Wynn - Big time gamblers

Circus Circus and Excalibur- Families with children

    Station Casinos - Locals

    Artisan Hotel - Couples

Most cater more to price levels than to particular clientele. But there are some that have clear target demographics:

    Circus Circus: families

    Hard Rock: 20-somethings

    California: Hawaiians (seriously!)

However, the trend seems to be make everything as generic and non-offensive as possible. There's not much Egyptian left in the Luxor, no pirates at Treasure Island, Imperial Palace is ditching its asian theme entirely to become "The Quad"

Belagio.venetian..wynn..Encore....rhey cater to the people who have money...the rest is my guess cause most of them r run down and dirty looking..as far as the rooms..u get what u pay for...Excalibue ,Planet Hollywood and the older ones pretty much suck.
