Is there a such thing as too late when you love someone?

There happens to be a song out by Brandy about if you love someone, there is no such thing as too late and you should be able to wait. Agree or Disagree and why? I personally feel if that person loved you back, they wouldn't make you wait so long that you'll tell them it's too late in the first place.

Yes I think there is such a thing as 'too late'. Life happens, some relationships don't work out and that's for a reason. No point in hanging onto a love that isn't going anywhere when the right person may be somewhere around...that stuff is for movies and not realistic and hanging on on only depresses you and makes you a nutcase. I've learned that in love and relationships myself.

I have mixed feelings on that. Say you have a boyfriend, and he's gotten himself in some serious legal trouble and he's going to jail for years. Then he pops the question, wants you to marry him and make you wait for him. First of all, that's not fair to you to pay dearly as well for his mistake. There is no relationship behind a glass wall. Only a very few people can wait for someone for that long, and they have to be head over heels for someone to do that. It's not fair from him to make you wait, true love would be him telling you not to wait and meet someone who can be there for you, not only emotionally but physically. Same goes for any other situation. No, it's not fair for someone to make another wait.

if you really love someone you always love them, it never goes away. So yes in theory you could reconnect down the line.
