Can someone tell me how these silly arguments fooled so many people into voting for Obama? For everything the democrats have promised them and what they've received, it's obvious that it's easier to fool people than to convince them they've actually been fooled.

You forgot, "everyone deserves a fair shot". They talk a lot about being "fair", even though they retain the right to determine what "fair" is.

I recently heard the whole fascination with Obama draws striking resemblances to the "cult mentality." People are obsessed with him and he can do no wrong in their eyes, and no matter what he does or what promises he does not hold up, they will keep him around and continue to worship him because President Obama, with his incredible speaking skills, and the people behind his success continue to promise the world, which they cannot give, while spreading propaganda about anyone who opposes him.
