What is a long spout tea pouring ceremony and what's involved in it?

A friend was telling me to see a long spout tea pouring ceremony when I go to China (which is for a couple of years) but I was just wondering what it was and what's so interesting about tea pouring.

Tea pouring actually is a ancient trandition in China, the pouring process is considering beautiful it can bring people fresh and peaceful, and tea can clean people's body and mind. I hope I explain it right........... and long spout tea pouring I believe is from north area, and it's very complicated to do it, it's like a dozen of movement, so it' s more like a perfomance.

I saw this one on of the state TV culture programs.

It basically involved the art of pouring tea through a tea pot that has like a metre long spout. Due to this it can become acrobatic and turned into a dance.

An example is shown on youtube, as below.

The "Tea Ceremony" is an intricate and ritualized expression of compassion for other human beings. For more information, I suggest you read this article and contact the nearest chapter of the Tzu Chi Foundation.
