Hi in my program I was using HashMap to store some values of the type String and Object. I was hoping to convert this to an ArrayList so I wouldn't need to use a HashMap at all. Here's the snippets of my code that has HashMap in it:

private HashMap directions;

descriptions = new HashMap();

And then later, inside a method and in some if loops, I have:

directions.put("north", north);

directions.put("east", east);

directions.put("south", south);

directions.put("west", west);

And later I have:

Set keys = directions.keySet();

Is it possible to do this using an ArrayList instead?

I'm on my third pack of Seasonale and I know that breakthrough bleeding is very common in the first few packs but I have had a non-stop heavy period for over twenty days now. It's becoming very annoying and uncomfortable and I don't know if I should stay on the pill or if I should stop or just take a break or what I could do to make my period stop. I heard that you could double up on the pill one day but I don't know if this is safe. Suggestions?

I've had Windows 7 on my laptop for about 8 months now and up until the last few weeks have had no problems. Recently my computer freezes and then crashes randomly every 5 mins. I've tried updating all my software, checked for malwares and viruses and defragmented my drives. The problem is still there. Any suggestions?

I haven't been wearing my retainer properly (just at night) for the last 3 months. A few weeks ago, I decided to put it back in because I noticed a small gap forming between my front teeth. I did some research and it said that if it still fits I should start wearing it again. It's not that my retainer hurts I'm just having trouble getting used to it again so I've only wore it for about 2 hours every night starting about a week ago. Today around 5:30 I noticed that my mouth started to hurt even though I'm not even wearing my retainer. What is this? And will wearing my retainer all night tonight make it worse?

I was just wondering if it is possible to watch videos on Youtube on an iPhone that say not available on this platform. I know I can go watch it on my computer but I was wondering if there is anyway to be able to watch it on my iPhone. Thanks

My retainer really hurts when I put it in and my mouth is really sore when I take it out. I've already tried Advil and ice water does anyone else have any other suggestions?

I had braces and now I'm only supposed to wear my retainer at night. I did good for about a year until I had a bad cold. I didn't wear it for like a week and I haven't gotten back in the habit of wearing it yet. It's been about 2 months since I last wore it and now I can see a gap in between my front teeth. I can get both retainers in they just hurt a little more than usual. Should I wear them? Or what should I do to make them not hurt do bad? Will these correct the gap in between my front teeth?

I've got a clogged toilet that's not successful in unclogging with a plunger or a snake. It's a large wad of toilet paper and will chemical stuff work?

I'm at a big family party and I accidently flushed too much toilet paper down the toilet. I don't want to go tell the other people about it and don't have a plunger or toilet snake available. I've already tried reaching my hand as far as I can, which I couldn't feel anything, tried plunging with my hands, dumped a bucket full of hot water down there and used hand soap. Do you have any ideas of what I can try? I have a toilet brush, a bucket and that's pretty much it. The clog is obviously pretty deep down the drain. Suggestions?

Is there any other object that you can use to create a toilet snake without a wire hanger?

I need to unclog this toilet immediately but have no plunger or toilet snake handy. I've already tried reaching as far as I can and there is no blockage and have dumped water from a bucket in already and tried with chemical breakup. Is there anything else that might work? Can I use the toilet brush?

I'm 14 years old and want to fly from one Canadian city to another but I don't have a parental consent letter. I also just paid in cash and bought a boarding pass right at the airport. I thought it said with proper identification children over 12 don't need anything else other than a valid passport and ID which I have. I read something about needing a parental consent letter and now I'm worried about being able to fly. Do I need a parental consent letter?
