How to connect LG tv to laptop?
I have an LG 42LM620t and a Toshiba Satellite laptop.
They are connected via an HDMI to S-VGA 15 pin cable.
I have the HDMI in the recommended 4th slot.
I have fiddled with the monitor/projector settings in control panel but don't know what I'm doing.
Anyone have any advice?
(Dont say reboot please!)
Thanks Admin. I tried all options but the TV still says 'no signal'.

This connection will not work with just a cable unless your SVGA output supports digital which it almost certainly does not. I cannot check this because you have not given your satallite model so refer to your user manual.
Either connect SVGA to SVGA or you will have to buy a converter from the Analogue signal of SVGA to HDMI digital
Suggest http://www.weltronproducts.com/SVGA_to_HDMI_Conver... as one but google for cheaper.
Either way converter or svga to svga Sound will have to be taken from headphone output to tv or converter. Jack plug to jack plug or rca (yellow/red)

Ok , it's fairly simple.
You have the HDMI cable in the #4 port on the TV, right?
So, point the remote @ the TV , & up in the top right " PRESS INPUT" , then choose HDMI 4
For the computer: Projector means "Any external screen used"
Hold down the "Windows" key. & press "P". ( windows key is the 4 part flag next to ALT)
SO WHILE HOLDING WINDOWS KEY DOWN , TAP P
The choices that appear are these....
Computer only. ( Means, only the computer screen shows)
Duplicate: ( Means, both the TV screen & the computer screen will have the same image)
Extended: ( Means, Both screens will be on, But it takes both screen to show the entire image, so one screen will be the left side & one screen will be the right side
Projector only: ( Means, ONLY the TV screen)
