How much is labor to replace a water pump in a '93 Eagle Talon?

I am a college student without a regular income, and I am told I need to replace the water pump in my '93 Eagle Talon. I've learned the price of the pump itself is around $50, that it's a good idea (in fact, all but required) to change the timing belt at the same time, and that a dealership best does the work. My car has about 150,000 miles on it, and I need it to make one more 1,500 mile trip home in the spring. How much is a reasonable price for labor? It can't be over $500 because I don't have that much in my account.

1.8 eng is 3.2 hours labor

2.0 eng is 4.7 hours labor

you didn't say what eng you had so the above is for each eng avail in your car .

Labor prices per hour vary by location . Call a few local shops in your area to get a idea .

Dealerships are the most expensive so try a small local shop to get a better price .

    Good luck

Dealerships will charge over $100/h for labor its crazy, You should call around to local mechanics who are ASE certified and ask for a quote

The dealer is going to charge about $500.00 to $650.00 but i would take it to a shop around town you can ask around and im sure you can find one , and then they should be able to do it around $325.00 to $425.00 good luck.
