Will this hard drive fit my computer?
Samsung HN-M101MBB 1TB 5400rpm SATA 2.5 inch Internal Hard Drive
I have a dell inspiron n71010. My current hard drive is a Seagate SATA 650 GB HDD 2.5 inch. I know nothing about computers so I just want to make sure I'm making the right purchase. If not please recommend one that will!

Yes it will fit, you also will need the operating system recovery disc set made for your laptop or a image copy of the old hard drive to use to install the original operating system onto the new hard drive.

yes it will fit your computer
hard drives come in two sizes 2.5 inch they fit into laptops and 3.5 inch they fit into desktop computers the capacity of a drive is irrelevant changing from a 650gb to 1tb will just give you more hard drive space
as you said you don't know much about computers you understand fitting a new hard drive you'll have to reinstall windows you can't just fit them and expect them to work
