Going on week 8 since my wedding and no photos from the photog. Normal?
2 photogs, husband and wife team, this is not their full time job, they are not printing my photos, only editing 200-250 photos to a disc. First it was 2-4 weeks, then it was pushed back to the week after Thanksgiving and I just got another email from her saying it will be another couple weeks. She has been paid in full, plus the cost of adding her husband as an extra photographer. She's new to professional wedding photography, with plenty of experience in other areas of photography, I researched her, plus several friends recommended her to me. Is 8 weeks a normal amount of time for digital photos? Considering legal proceedings if we get to Christmas with no photos.

I would ask for a detailed explanation as to why they are going to be so late.
Try not to come across angry as you dont want communication to break down, just state that you are starting to get concerned.
200-250 is a lot of photographs to edit (speaking as a photographer myself)
But 2-4 weeks was plenty of time.

What does your contract say?
8 weeks is definitely on the longer side of things, especially with digital photography.
My wife and I are professional wedding photographers, and we typically get the preview images to the clients withing 48 hours, and the rest of the photos arrive a couple of weeks later.
The difference is that we are not new to the business. We have been doing it for 10 years. We also charge a fair amount. Because our average wedding photography package is over $6,000 we can afford to hire a staff to turn around the photos very quickly. It is also our full time job, so its not like we try to do the post processing around another job.
Don't bother with legal proceedings. With most shoot and burn photographers, they don't have enough assets to sue them for. You cannot sue for your photos, you can only sue for money. Unless you paid thousands of dollars, it will probably not be worth suing for a refund.

2 to 4 weeks is normal, I would not have pay in full..I would have pay 50%, then the other 50% upon delivery of the finished pictures..

Depends on what you mean by "editing to a disc".
If it simply means culling out the poor images and copying the rest to a file, that shouldn't take any time at all.
If it means going through each photo and making adjustments of some sort to it, that can take quite a bit of time - but to be honest, if every photo needs to be manipulated, they're not very good photographers OR they're photoshopping out little imperfections (the digital equivalent of "airbrushing").
I think 8 weeks is an unreasonable amount of time. I would ask for a more detailed explanation of why it's taking so long. Perhaps there has been an illness in the family or other unforeseeable circumstances which have taken up the time when she's not at her full-time job.
