A 77 kg man that is 2.0 m tall is trying to pump up by doing push-ups. His center of mass is 1.10 from the bot- tom of his feet, and his hands are 30.0 cm from the top of his head. Find the force that the floor exerts on each of his feet and on each of his hands.

    Sum the moment about the feet:

    77kg * 9.8m/s² * 1.1m - F * (2m - 0.3m) = 0

    F = 488 N for the arms, or 244 N for each arm/hand.

    For the feet, F = 77kg * 9.8m/s² - 488N = 266 N, or 133 N for each foot.
