Would you agree that the MLB Draft is better than the NFL Draft?

It takes way more brains to project a high school kid to be playing like Jeff Bagwell in 10 years than it does to predict that Andrew Luck was to be the number one draft choice.

Update:

You know you have more freedom to be involved with the MLB Draft? You can request players for invitation to baseball showcases and they might get drafted.

Could you do this with the NFL Combine? I don't think so.

Update 2:

So Jim, you really don't want to think to much? You would rather follow the NFL Draft where everyone tells you who to like?

Update 3:

You are entitled to your opinion. I'm not going to choose a best answer and let the community decide for that reason.

NFL Draft is better. You're familiar with the names since we've seen them in college football. I'd be lucky if I knew a couple names of the players that are supposed to be in the MLB draft.

Harder to predict, yes. Better is subjective though. The fact is that it is harder to come to your own opinion on MLB draft picks because they don't televise college baseball and they shove College football and basketball down our throats. If people could see some of these college baseball players as much as they see the college basketball and football players you would probably get different answers.

You know that you can be invited to the Senior Bowl for the top seniors and east vs west/ all american game for future nfl players... So NOOOO MLB sucks dude. Don't be a troll.

The thing with the MLB draft is it takes so long to determine winners or losers. Very few players are sure fire future stars like in the NFL. You can pretty much give a final grade to an NFL draft after two seasons. Not so with MLB, it will take you five years or so.

  • No way. The NFL Draft is made for Television. The MLB Draft is great when it is all over and I can read about the thousands of players that have been selected. The NFL Draft, I can watch pick by pick. MLB has to fill Rookie League, A League, AA League, AAA League Rosters.
