Is there an easy way to turn off ALL formatting in Open Office Word Processor?

Many times I find myself fighting with the default formatting and would like to just turn all of it off, and do my own indenting, numbering, etc. Is there an easy way to turn off all the formatting so I can do everything manually? I have the latest version of Open Office.

Update:

Steve, there is no "Apply Styles" drop-down menu, and I can not find "Clear formatting" anywhere in the toolbars, drop-down menus, or Help files. You must be thinking of another program.

Microsoft rfile records could be opened via Open workplace, yet Open workplace records can't be opened via Microsoft observe. once you shop Open workplace records you have the alternative in shop As to shop it as a Microsoft rfile. So then it is going to likely be nicely suited.
