Yikes, I have to kiss someone on stage?!?
I can get into character, and my co-star is really nice, and really I have no problem wanting to kiss him, but what if I'm bad at it?

It doesn't matter. If you are in character then its not you, its your character, and not matter how your character kisses the person playing opposite you is, if they have a sense of proffessionalism, is going to keep going by the script. So its not up to you. Kiss the guy, stick to the script, and break a leg.

You are playing an acting role,not kissing the person romantically. You should think of it that way

Tell him you should rehearse first lol.
Nobody is good at kissing right away... practice up haha.
Seiously though, you shouldn't worry. I doubt the guy will complain. Most guys would just be happy with doing it in the first place.
