The first thing I would say is look after your body. You are clearly a very big guy, and could probably be a moderately successful high school lineman solely on the basis of that. But make sure you don't use that as an excuse to be lazy. Hit the gym, make sure your size is muscle, not just fat. And try to keep your weight under control as if you get too large it will cause you problems both on and off the football field.

Second learn proper technique. Listen to your offensive line coach and make sure you have the fundamentals locked down. As I said before, your size will get you a free pass on a lot of things to begin with, but later on you will get found out so don't get into bad habits. Make sure you learn the importance of staying low, keeping your legs moving and putting your head on a swivel.

Third become a student of the sport. Make sure you learn the rules inside out. Watch as much professional and college football as you can, keep an eye on the linemen and see what they do, what techniques they adopt and what mistakes they make and learn from it.

Fourth, make sure you have a healthy life balance. Work hard at your studies, don't end up as one of those guys who coasts through school and college on football and then finds themselves leaving college with no skills and no job prospects. And make time for friends and family (just don't stay out too late the night before training or especially a match,

Based on your height and weight, I believe that you will make a very good fit as a lineman. Considering your age, your size gives you the potential to become a very elite high school lineman.

My best advice for you is to work hard and perform very well in practice every day. In addition, what you need to do this upcoming (and every) offseason is eat healthy, exercise by doing weight lifting, and either jogging or going for a long run every day. If you do these things, you will get faster, stronger, and into better shape, which will greatly improve your ability to block and hit, as well as your chances of becoming a successful, top notch lineman in football.
