Democracy never divides people by social class. What - you think America is a democracy? $_$

Representative democracy =/= absolute democracy, dumbass. Ancient Greece was a democracy.

You misunderstand what equality means in the context of Democracy. In a Democracy everyone is equal in the law.

Edit- not everyone can be equal in terms of finance and standards of living.

Edit- BTW we are not divided by social class. Everyone shares legal equality, regardless of social status.

People may divide each other by social classes. But that has nothing to do with democracy in itself.

Our form of government is by no means perfect. The social class can influence how things are done. Basically because many political leaders are corrupt, motivated by greed. The upper social classes financially can hire lobbyist to petition politician to make laws that are favorable to their causes.

Having this form of government it allow for some checks and balances to help reduce the occurances of abuse of power if only one group were in power. History has proven that if you give ane one person or one group too much power they will in return abuse that power.

I agree. It's impossible. Does a garbage collector man have equal contribution to society as a doctor? Well, they're keeping the streets clean and that's fine and dandy but anyone can do that!

As Aristotle said: "The worst form of inequality is to try to make unequal things equal."
