Can you customize the color of a laptop?

If you're building a laptop 'from scratch'... is there a way to change the color of the top panel (place where the logo usually is) and whatnot? Not talking about sleeves, I mean, the actual hard plastic casing thing.

    You could put skins on, or if you can take the WHOLE case off and duct tape the keyboard and paint the screen black and by taking case off it is a pain in the @55!
