I have a very large dog is it normal for him to drool excessively?

Question

He normally drools a lot when he is anticipating getting food, but tonight he's been drooling even more. I think he was nervous today because of a stressful situation so can that be part of it? Can it be something he's eaten? We've been mopping up little pools of saliva on the floor every place he's been sitting or laying down and I'm wondering if he's okay. He's seems fine in every other way.

drooling depends on the type of dog you have for instance boxers and dogs with large drooping jowels or droopy mouths will drool for no reason its just the way their mouth is

hi JM, You did not let us know what breed your dogs became..some breeds of course drool..verify you oftentimes have sparkling water down on your dogs..in case you think of your dogs is drooling 2 a lot see your vet.. Your buddy, Sandy

 You didn't tell us what breed your dog was..Some breeds naturally drool..Make sure you always have fresh water down for your dog..If you think your dog is drooling 2 much see your vet..

Big dogs drool. It`s ok, just carry around a towel in your pocket.
