or is free to play like the previous CoDs? luckly im only getting it gamefly but if i have to buy an online pass to play it then ill just get something else haha

It is free after you purchase the game, however they have an elite function that is called season pass that you pay extra for which allows for more features out of the game like stats, etc. It also allows for cheaper or free map packs in the future.

No Black Ops 2 does not require an online pass and if you did pay for one I'm sorry but you got ripped off. Also if you're server is down don't make a new account, find a different one and save a lot of time.

The multiplayer itself is free, but depending on what console you may have to pay.Ps3 is free, but Xbox 360 you need to buy Live
