Please healp with appetizers or snacks?
I have some Christmas parties to go to before long and I have to bring an appetizer to each one. I don't want to bring a cheese ball because everyone brings them and I want to bring something that is nice. I can cook but have just ran out of ideas. By the way, I need 3 or 4 recipes.Thank you for your help.

Here's a few that few people ever make but they are a big hit:
-Amaretto Shrimp: take fresh shrimp (washed, peeled, deveined, butterfly cut, tails removed) and saute them with butter, salt, pepper and a splash of amaretto liquor. Pile them onto a serving tray with toothpicks in a small shot glass.
-Smoke Salmon Dip: Combine 1/2 C. of flaked smoked salmon with the following: 2 C. light sour cream or better yet creme fraiche', 1 T. chopped fresh dill weed, 2 capers (drained). Mix together all of the ingredients gently, cover with plastic wrap and chill. Serve with water crackers.
-Asian Style Baby Back Ribs: Take a whole rack of baby back ribs and cut them into individual ribs. In a large ziploc back add in 1 C. of soy sauce, 4 cloves of minced garlic, 1/4 C. green onions, 1 tsp. sugar. Mix well and add in your ribs. Press out the air from the bag and seal it. Massage the ribs so that the marinade is covering each rib. Let marinate at least 2 hours in the fridge. Before baking, allow the ribs to come to mostly room temp after you remove them from the fridge. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Place the ribs on a baking sheet or broiler pan. In a small bowl, combine 4 T. of hoisin sauce (Chinese BBQ sauce) and 1 T. of honey. Bake your ribs on the middle rack. After about 20 min. then baste with the hoisin mixture. Continue baking for another 15 min. or until the ribs are tender. Baste them again with the hoisin mixture once you remove them from the oven and they are still hot. Shake some sesame seeds over them just before serving.
