    Yes!!!!!

There are executives in the medical arena who can not/do not have communication skills.

I have had several reasons to be in contact with executives in the medical arena, personally and professionally. (some who have no contact with the patients)

At one point I had a problem and seriously needed to talk to someone not affiliated with hands on patient care and I was put in touch with an educated individual in patient services i.e. liason, patient advocate, etc who had the educational and communicational skills to approach with the educated staff who's medical/professional services were in question. Because of his/her education they were able to stand toe to toe to the medical staff concerned, and positively clear up the misunderstanding (to say the least) because of her communicational skills and her panoramic knowledge of the hospital who's who staff i.e. who is responsible for this or that and who to go to, which enable her to get things resolved readily.

It is doubtful, hospitals usually do not have positions in the communication field. Your degree has very limited potential so you may have to take additional courses to become certified in a medical occupation. Good Luck
