What would cause slow starting of a 1996 Honda Accord when gas tank is below 1/4?
Usually, my car starts right away, but when the fuel gauge falls below 1/4 full, the engine takes several extra turns before it fires up. The fuel filter is replaced regularly.

Had a similiar issue and it was just because the car was old like yours and when it fell below 1/4 it was actually empty or close to it so i always kept gas above 1/4 tank and never had any more issues.
