It's probably because the yahoo team haven't awoken from their period of hibernation yet.

You are probably in the "Recommended" tab by the sounds of things.
Look above the questions and you have several tabs - open, resolved, voting and (being trialled so not visible to all) recommended,
Click back to "Open" in order to get the questions displayed chronologically once again and then you can sort by the most recent to get up to date content.

Maybe one or more of the UK servers have a glitch or a time delay? The last question is only two mintues old. OH!, Maybe your sorting order has glitched, Try clicking the hyperlkink for "newestr" above the colcoquetion column. Sometimes the sorting order has a glitch, a hiccup. Refreshing the page might help too.
