Why does Obama want to go over the physical cliff?

Going over the Fiscal Cliff would get the President where he wants to go. The death tax would go to a higher rate, so would the taxes on capital gains and dividends. Bush tax-cuts would end. Defense spending would be cut to dangerously low levels. These are all things Obama wants and has supported.

Going "over the fiscal cliff", will reduce the deficit by 1/3. At best congress can turn around and pass the "middle class" tax cuts again. Or the Republicants can pass the "middle class" tax cuts right now. The ball is in B0ner's court.

Since the statements you make about him are all untrue, it seems silly to answer this question, but I will. He does not WANT to go over the fiscal cliff, but he is willing to if the GOP refuses to give in on the 3% increase on the top 2%.

Obama offered $800 million in spending cuts the last time, which if that had been only from the military budget would have shut down the military altogether. A lot of those "entitlement" programs are Social Security and Medicare, which seniors have paid into throughout their whole lifetime and deserve to get.

You have no idea at all what his agenda is and you never will as long as the only people you listen to are those who hate him.

The Fiscal Cliff is a Political Hoax created by the Democrats. Obama says we have to pass these terrible bills or even more terrible things will happen. They are NOT arguing for the right policies, the ones that would get our country back on track.

Uh...it's not a "physical" cliff. That would be for rock-climbers.
