    Factor by grouping.

    2d(d^2 - 9) - 5(d^2 - 9)

    (2d - 5)(d^2 - 9)

    (2d - 5)(d + 3)(d - 3)

    I hope this information was very helpful.

    You can use what is called synthetic division

    2d^3 - 5d^2 - 18d + 45=====> select a number that will divide into 45 two will not go but three will

    3_| 2d^3 - 5d^2 - 18d + 45=> drop down the 2 multiply it by 3 ( we are working with only the coefficients)

    -----2--------6----------------------------( add the -5 to the 6 get 1, multiply the 1 by the 3)

    -----2--------1-------3--------------------(add the 3 to the -18 get -15, multiply the -15 by the 3)

    -----2---------1-------3------45-------( add +45 to -45 to get 0) since we have a zero then 3 is a factor

    (d-3) ( 2d² +d-15) this expand to get 2d^3 - 5d^2 - 18d + 45
