Did you read the Hunger Games or see the movie first?
of course that implies you've seen and read them.

Read the books first :) I can't watch a movie before reading the books because books are usually so much more detailed especially if they are well written. I hate reading books after the movie because I know whats going to happen so I'm not as interested and usually end up stopping half way.

I watched the movie first.
I didn't know what the Hunger Games was, I just looked at it as another franchise that was overrated. I was spending the day with a mate and we decided to go to the movies and I didn't care what we watched, so he chose the Hunger Games and he tried to explain it to me. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and later on, read the book for English class. I took it home to finish reading because I just didn't want to put the book down. The movie was great, but the book was fantastic.

As to stick to my own traditions, I always read the book before seeing the movie. That way, the descriptions give me a picture that is my own, not filmed elsewhere. Otherwise, I think it takes some of the magic and beauty away from storytelling.
Of course, then there is the negative of being disappointed with the film. However, I was very pleased with the choice of Peeta's actor as it was very similar to my own Peeta. Haymitch was definitely too sober, though!
All in all, an amazing book trilogy that created a great movie.

I always try to read the book first.
I had heard of the books but I didn't know anything about them and wasn't really interested in them. Then one day I saw it on sale so I decided to pick it up for the heck of it and I could not put it down!
The movie did the book justice but it's never as good as the book.

I saw the movie first, and then I read the books. The books were way better, though the movie was pretty good. But, I think that is the case with all movies that are based off books

I saw the movie, never cared to read the book. The only reason I saw the movie is because my boyfriend and I worse bored that day, that seemed like the only interesting movie playing. It was alright.

Read it,
The book was great,
I wasn't a fan of the movie, I know everyone was but I don't usually like the movies everyone does.
I hated Avatar and people just look at me like I'm nuts if I tell them.

I read the books first.
I didn't like the movie because it didn't follow the book as much. But I guess if it did, it would be rated R. Oh well.

Book first. ALWAYS read the book first, so you know the real story. I know that Suzanne Collins said that cutting out Madge was OK, but it still sucks because she became Katniss's friend in book 2. It was really awesome. Social Katniss! *gasp*
