I have a theory that milk that has been frozen goes sour quicker. I haven't yet tested this theory but I suppose it will make a good project.
I would take 20 small cartons of milk all bought on the same day from the same store with the same expiry date. put half in the fridge and half in the freezer for a day. then open all of the cartons and put them in the fridge and take measures every day to see when they go off.
While unscientific and a blind sniff test would probably suffice. If you have access to litmans paper you could also measure the pH (acidic = off). The best method would be to plate cultures every day counting the number of colonies present in a given volume of milk.
