Matthew 20: 1-16 if you read the parable of The Workers in the Vineyard, it says that the landowner of a Vineyard hired a man to work for on his vineyard. Then he hired again another man to work on his vineyard. After that he hired more men to work on his vineyard. When the time of payment comes, each men receives the equal amount of money even some of them worked longer than the others.

So basing on this parable if you change your ways from Atheism at the Judgement Day when Christ returns, as long as you accepted Christs, repented your sins and be reborned . you will be treated as like the others in heaven.

Your error is in that you say " we are his children."

That is incorrect. Everyone is God's creation, but we are not all his children.

To become a child of God, you must be born again. That means you must accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior to clear you from all your sins.

Once you do that, you have been made righteous through Jesus and have become a child of God!

If you don't, God still sees you as a sinner. He cannot be with sin because he is perfect. So for those that have not accepted Jesus's sacrifice for them, God still sees them as unrighteous. He cannot be with anything unrighteous and imperfect.

So that is why they must go to hell.

Yes, if you do not accept Jesus, you will go to hell. It's just the way things are.

Once you die, there is no going back. So, of course, there is no second chance.

Accept Jesus. You will regret it terribly if you do not.

I am sorry but I have to throw in my 2cents....I won't mention the other answerer names but I have to correct a misunderstanding of "The Judgement Day".

1. There will be a "Time of Tribulation" that all living humans (including Christians) must go through...

2. After "Time of Tribulation" is when Jesus will call and decend toward the Earth calling up "ALL" the Righteous, the dead in Christ will be raised and along with the Christians who have never tasted death will be changed to immortal spiritual beings and raised up to meet Jesus in the air and return to heaven with him for 1,000 years.

3. All who are not righteous when Jesus calls will fall dead from the brightness of his glory.......

There is more to it but that is all I need here to get my point across and that is.......

THERE IS NO SECOND CHANCE...THERE IS NO LEFT BEHIND....once you are dead, once Jesus calls, your fate or reward is sealed...

No let me add here that 1,000 years later the dead (unrighteous) will be raised and destroyed.

I will not get a second chance I stand correct? wouldn't we deserve a second chance?:

you had your first chance before you were born, this life is your second and last chance, cause "all humans had witnessed that they wouldn't say: they didn't know about God in th first place" cause any human child is born with th instinct of believing in god withing his heart, but due to his own deeds: good or bad he will able to feel that instinct, and so believe in God, even if he was raised as a non-believer, and that's why we see people from many different cultures: choose to believe in God.

And I go to this place hell, cause I don't believe in this god. But why?:

cause there are so many other people who chooses in this life to believe yet you chooses to not; are they smarter than you?! sure not!!!!

are they luckier than you?! sure not!!!!

they have done one thing and one thing only: they didn't follow Lucifer's whispers, instead they chooses to follow their instinct, and only then they could see th true meaning of faith in their life.

you did say it your self: you need to enlighten your heart by good deeds so you can see th real truth that not every one can see, but with that ask th real one who can help you, th one who created you and who knows what you need to see him, ask God sincerely to show you th right path and you shall be answered that for sure!!!!!

God is beyond having children!!!!! beyond death!!!!!! it's just illogical for me!!!!! th one who created every thing is just beyond attributes and behaviours of a human being. if so why we do not have th characteristics of a God, it's just illogical for reasoning.

None of us can say for certain whether God exists or not. God only asks us to honestly seek Him. That's what belief amounts to; honestly seeking our Creator.

If we know that our Creator might exist and we refuse to seek Him, it must be because we don't want Him in our life. God will honor our desire whether it be to find Him or to not find Him.

You dont believe because you dont WANT to believe. In the end God will send you to hell for not realising the truth.

A) there is no perpetual torture. (the 'wages of sin' is death). B) Only those who have become one with YAHUSHUA can share His eternal life. C) YHVH gives increasing evidences of His existence and love, and at some point gives each of us the 'final test'. D)If it is only at the failing of the final test that you acknowledge Him, it does not work to your benefit. E) Only those who are attracted to Him and choose to share His character can join Him in eternal life. (If you seek heaven for it's pleasures, or to avoid destruction, you won't be there) ---- Does that answer the question? No one 'deserves' any of the good things YHVH gives them, for we have only earned death.

It really doesn't work that way. Look at it as Karma. You put positive energy into motion positive energy will return to you(&visa versa) either in this life or the next level of existence one goes to after death
