Reliable car for a college student?

I'm a college student and I currently drive a 1993 Nissan Altima GXE. I bought it a little over a year ago and it's been nothing but a money pit. As soon as I can manage to save up enough (which will most likely be around the summer) I plan on selling this and buying something else. Is there anything anyone can recommend that is affordable for a college student and very reliable? Thanks.

    EITHER AN HONDA CIVIC, TOYOTA COROLLA. FUNNY, I HAVE A 2001 NISSAN SENTRA THAT RUNS GREAT AND GETS BETWEEN,33-44 M.P.G.

    Honda civic... i bought one for a few grand when i was a senior in high school and im still driving it 6 yrs later... have had no problems with it.
