Christians what hope do you have if your faith is based on something without evidence?
I have hope in things but never on something on blind faith of a book that has ridiculous claims, sexism, violence and tragedy of a man's life. Sure what the man suffered was harsh but seriously that is nothing compared to what some ppl were tortured and Jesus died fairly quickly. The claims he was god contradict what he says and the miracles he did were not mentioned til the 2nd century. It is not better to relay your hope on something u know with evidence.
"I have evidence of god all around me" Are you a pantheist. If you are not then that is not evidence of god.
I am not a hateful person. If your beliefs make u happy that is fine it is just weird for me to see ppl have hope based on faith. It is placing your life and dreams on something you do not know exists.

It doesn't matter. Let others live how they want, and go your own way. In life, the most important thing isn't whether you believe in God or not, or about what religion you are, or what you believe in; it's about what you do with it. Someone can be religious, but cruel and cold, just as easily as an atheist can be kind and generous. Or visa versa. Isn't religion just silly and trivial? Your actions are more important. Start being a kinder person today, let those who are different than you believe whatever they like, and you'll have a much happier and uninterrupted life.

There are a few problems with the premise of your question. The first being a misconception of what constitutes religion. Simply defined it is "the feeling of awe one experiences in the presence of the sacred or the divine". So what you are dealing with is whether or not a person has experienced this feeling. THAT is the basis for the reality, the proof, the "evidence" if you will, of any religion. If you want to deny feeling as a basis of evidence, how would you prove you have felt love? You are going to negate that because it is intangible?
Your second problem is you are presupposing the necessity of empirical evidence. The point of any religion or faith is to rely upon belief, which as the dictionary defines is:
1. a. The mental act, condition, or habit of placing trust or confidence in another: Ex: My belief in you is as strong as ever.
b. Mental acceptance of and conviction in the truth, actuality, or validity of something: Ex His explanation of what happened defies belief.
c. Something believed or accepted as true, especially a particular tenet or a body of tenets accepted by a group of persons.
Mock, misunderstand, ridicule for lack of empirical evidence if you like, but still, you can't disprove feelings and experiences.

Religion is personal. It's subjective. I have my own reasons for believing, just as you have reasons for not. I believe I HAVE seen personal proof, and that's all I need.
Besides that, it makes me feel good, just like hate does to you.
Try not to be so objective, and I think you will find your answers.
