after watching cotto vs trout..well actually i havn't watched the fight.but frm what trout did to cotto,i think mayweather may have faded a bit, or even more than a bit.cotto gave floyd all he could handle, but against trout cotto looked faded.that means mayweather has faded and can be beaten

Its not that they are faded its the style. Style makes fights and the way they fight its completely different from each other. Mayweather doesnt fight as he used to though if you notice he boxes flatfoot now before he would do extreme footwork. He is 35 so its obvious he is aging. Remember mayweather is human he is not invincible.

Seriously, Floyd wasn't showing any signs of aging, he was giving the fans what they wanted. He moves around the ring, people say he is running or "on his bicycle". He stands there and goes toe to toe with a larger man, they say he is old. It's like people who say Republicans are old rich guys, but then turn around and call them trailer trash. You can't have things BOTH ways.

Floyd went out 43 times and has a perfect unblemished record. He keeps stepping up in weight to find a challenge, and he can't find one. Austin Trout beat a one dimensional fighter who was coming off of a loss (against Floyd). Floyd would take Trout to school. Sergio Martinez looked great against JCC Jr, but who did Jr. fight exactly? Floyd would KILL Martinez too.

The ONLY way that Mayweather gets a challenge is to move up to Super Middleweight and fight Andre Ward. 168lbs and under, Floyd DOMINATES EVERYBODY ONE SIDEDLY!

Floyd Mayweather has made two guest appearances at 154lbs in his fights with Oscar Dela Hoya and Miguel Cotto and in both fights he struggled in spots. I think most of it is It's due in part to the fact that he's never been a legitimate 154lbs fighter.

Mayweather started his career as a Jr. Featherweight and he's move up four-five weight classes and eventually fighters hit a peak regardless of how skilled they are, certain guys just aren't as effective at certain weights.

I'm not going to compare Mayweather to Trout because Trout is career 154lbs fighter, he's naturally larger, and more physically imposing than Floyd Mayweather.

That also applies to Miguel Cotto, who started his career at Jr. Welterweight, but he's also another fighter who's naturally larger than Floyd Mayweahter.

I've yet to see Floyd struggle at 147lbs, both of his recent fights were he struggled were at 154lbs with men who were naturally larger and more established at the weight (Cotto and Dela Hoya).

I think some of Floyd's physical attributes have slowed down with age ( i.e. Legs), but I don't think he's turning the corner as a fighter I just think he's getting older and relying more on skill than athleticism.
