Most male cats do not kill kittens especially if raised in the home with the mother cat. Some male cats will even take over and stay with the kittens to give mom cat a break.

Cats own their home. lol. They just don't want anyone crossing the line into their area. Male cat who are not neutered will fight because a neighborhood female in the area i in heat and they will fight to keep the competition away. It is all instinct.

    Cats Are Very Territorial.

That mans a cat feels a stranger has invaded his/her territory.

In a case like that, a cat might be aggressive toward one cat -- usually the most easy-going -- but friendly to another.

The time when problems crop up is when a new kitty arrives, a young kitten becomes a grownup cat, or the home cat looks out the window to see a strange cat in the yard -- the home cat may chase, ambush, hiss, and/or meow angrily.

And it’s not just the boys. Girl cats can be just as infuriated by strangers.

It is odd. I have 2 male cats and 2 females. All are fixed. But with my cats the females keep attacking the males and beating them up.

    Your information is completely incorrect.

    1) Cats of both sexes are often territorial, but they rarely actually kill other cats, they just fight for control of territory. Male cats that have not been fixed, or were fixed later are especially vigilant about territory.

    2) Territorial male cats will still attack females, particularly if they are associated with another male. My cat (male, a stray that didn't get fixed until he was almost two) relentlessly tormented my roommates female cats for months when he moved in. They've since worked out their boundaries and rarely fight.

Cats are very territorial and like to have a large area of land all to themselves and their owners. Sometimes my cats play with the cat from nect door because they have decided who is the leader and who is strongest.

They give respect to motherhood (female cats); another man in their life is not acceptable 100%. Ie killing.
