Make sure you have a nice, relaxing bedtime routine. Take a bath, brush teeth, let her choose a book (you can read it to her while you sit on her bed), maybe a prayer, hugs, kisses, then it's time for bed. Make sure you stay calm and positive throughout the routine to set a nice mood. And when it's time for you to leave, leave with a smile on your face (if you look worried, your daughter will worry too). If she gets out of bed, walk her back to bed. Tell her you will check on her in a couple minutes. Then check on her at that time. Make sure she sees you check on her. Then keep checking on her every couple minutes if she seems like she needs it.
It also helps if you talk about bedtime expectations during the day so she has time for the rules to sink in. She may not fully understand when you talk to her about it during the day, but she'll begin to piece it together in her mind when she sees it play out at night.
