    none.

The only bone of contention is the supporters of a despised president against the supporters of this man.

You can pick another reason in the supporters of social programs similar to Europe's welfare states vs the supporters of the retention of the backbone of individual responsibility.

It would not happen, a war with China maybe. But a civil war in the United States would not happen. Even though we are a divided country, we are more of a sectionalism, than nationalistic. We have an animosity attitude toward people living in different areas, but that is more of an example of friendly competition. The only thing that even considers to be divided in the United States right now is the Republicans and the Democrats. There are many Conservatives consider to seceded from the Union, since Obama is re-elected. But they can not do it due to economic, democratic, and governmental reasons. Seriously they do not even have a concrete government.

No. Not at all. The country has become FAR too interconnected for anything of that nature to ever happen. There has been VERY rudimentary talk about states seceeding, but I doubt in this day and age, it will lead to a war.
