We are looking for a new kitchen range, about all they have a smooth top. Do they scratch easily?
We need a stove and there are a lot more of the smooth top. Are they any good? Thanks in advance for your answers.

They do scratch easier than anyone cares to admit. And everyone that I've ever known with one has loved theirs. The single most adored attraction has been "NOTHING TO CLEAN DOWN THERE!" boil-overs and tossed macaroni all stays on top, no burners or cowling's to tear apart. The one thing everyone "hates" is the standard problem with electric stoves; melting margarine containers and burning fingers 'cause you can't SEE the "flame".

I've had a tender prime variety for eight years now (the equal one). It does warmth evenly, and rapidly! The pleasant part is should you spill anything on it you could wipe it proper up without having to drag the burners out, open the stove high and clean in the entire little cracks and crevices. The only terrible part is should you spill anything on a hot burner, it'll go away a burnt residue. But it surely's rather handy to get off. There's a precise non abrasive cleaner for the gentle top stoves. You simply follow some generously to the surface, wait 5 minutes then rub it off with a towel.
