Tell me ObamaCare 2.3% tax on a tongue depressor (flat wood stick) is not what I think it is?
The ObamaCare tax applies mostly to devices used and implanted by medical professionals, including items as complex as pacemakers or as simple as tongue depressors.

The tax is only on items listed in the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act section J and 21 CFR part 807. Haven't checked to see if tongue depressors specifically is on that list.
What do you think it is? You realize tongue depressors are sold by boxes of hundreds for like 10 bucks. That 23 cents extra on a box of 500 tongue depressors is not going to put the doctor out of business. And tongue depressors are a writeoff anyway because you cannot charge for them they are taken off as a business expense off regular taxes.

it doesn't suprise me! i hear obamacare has 19 to 23 new taxes in it we all are going have to pay then obama says no taxes in middle or low income people???
