Is the sign language in "Switched at Birth" real?

By real I mean, does it match up with the subtitles, or what they're saying? I want to know, because I've picked up on a bit of it.

    I think so, but they use some things that make me question if it is or not. So i would go with mostly my friend.

    Sure, I feel that ASL is a real language. It’s a way for people in the deaf group to keep up a correspondence with not best the deaf however the listening to as good. American sign Language is a “visual-gestural language, now not a spoken language”. So it could be one of a kind than a spoken extra natural language like English however nonetheless is an exact language.
