If Democracy is the "problem" then what would be the answer?

Someone answered one of my questions with "Democracy is the problem", so if that was the case, what would be the answer?

    Without knowing anything about the question to which you recieved this glib answer, we have no way of answering.

    Democracy usually isn't the problem, it has worked fine for centuries. Greed, corruption, selfishness, ignorance... Those are problems.
