1991 Ford Stater Problems?

Can anyone tell me what wires go to the starter solenoid, where they come from, and what colors they are on a 1991 Ford F150?

Your question starts with the terms ford starter problems but the text is asking about wire colors. Confusing at best... is your starter not working? Normally on a Ford product that year there will be just one wire to the starter. The thick red wire will come from the starter relay. In the area of the starter there aren't many wires except those that attach to it, assuming that is the reason for your question. The diagram below doesn't indicate that there is a solenoid on your vehicle apparenly the relay serves the same purpose. It appears only the diesels use a solenoid on the starter.

Here's a link to the diagram for yours: Second one from left top row. http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images?_adv_...
