I have nothing against "Dark Knight Rises" but in more keeping with the Bane story,?

would this have been a better way to do the movie:

At the beggining of the movie, we see Bruce has been off the job for about 8 years and has a limp. Later on he is hurt by Bane.

well in the original "Knightfall" comics, after nearly being paralyzed by Bane, Bruce must semi retire and give over the suit to a new aprentice (not Robin) who takes on the job for a while.

So im thinking:

Bruce should not have appeared weak at first, but gotten into his fight, with Bane.

THEN be shown weak in whatever form he has to.

the guy who we find out is Robin discovers the batcave, and the suit and decides that it is his job as a friend to Bruce (because of the story line of the movie) to take on the suit.

No big show down between the two, but its Robin as Batman who defeats Bane, as Batman recovers. However The two would then help defeat the final battle of the movie.

Seems like that would have been more fitting.

There was a strong man with a funny robot voice in that movie.

    He was not Bane.

Sorry, but I'm not seeing it.

Maybe that would have been a better "comic book" kind of storyline, but the whole major points and themes in the movie about personal sacrifice, and the morality of Bruce Wayne, biting off more than you can chew, and "rising," and class unrest, not to mention the full circle ending, would not have been very well executed, if at all, in the movie.

    So no.

PS: Also, Christian Bale insisted that he would not do a Batman movie if there was a "Robin" in it. Besides, it wouldn't really give enough credit to the other two films to just have this new character jump in and become Batman's equal, it just stinks of injustice for some reason.

Source(s): I'm trying to decide, but the Dark Knight Rises may be one of my favorite movies of all time.

How can Blake defeat Bane, if Wayne can't do it with his League of Shadow training, regardless of his existing injuries?

Moreover, the trilogy is the story of Bruce Wayne, so it would be odd for another person to be Batman while Wayne is still connected to the mask

In the Knightfall comics, Jean Paul Valley (the second Batman) was trained by a cult, and later by Wayne. Dick Grayson (Robin and an eventual Batman) was not asked to replace Wayne during the story arc because Wayne feared Bane would kill Grayson.

The movie wasn't really intended to be a direct comic book representation
