Can we be war with another coutry right now that we haven't been told yet?
Okay, sorry for asking stuff this late but we live in New York and my father just got a urgent call. His a military officer for thr Airforce, and my mother was crying and she told me to pack up some items in my bag and shes feeling up the basement with food and what not. I look at the bews abd theres nothing happening, CNN or MSBC news and nothing just the same crap as always.
I fear that something is happening because my father did the same thing on 9/11 and now is much confusing because my mom wont tell me nothing. All she said is we need to board the windows and hide in the basement until we receive a call or something. What could be wrong??
Theres no ridiculously whether approaching and I checked BBC and a chinese channel. Mind my father works for the dod or us department like in the pentagon at times but his based in ny.

It is not unusual for a military officer to be ordered, with no warning, to report for duty somewhere where he or she is needed. It does not imply that a war has started. Remember that there is always fighting going on somewhere in the world. At present, the US is deeply involved in fighting in Afghanistan, and is fighting a global war on terrorism. Also, an urgent call can have nothing to do with fighting--it could simply mean that his military specialty is suddenly needed.
I don't understand your mother's comments. Hopefully she was just kidding. If she was fully serious, she should be in your basement right now.
