6 wk with cold and her breathing is raspy?

my 6 week old baby girl has a cold, no fever, no runny nose just cough and sneezing. Now when she is breathing regular it sounds raspy. while she sleeping too. is this normal? I have been giving her sea salt saline that the doc prescribed for her 2 days ago. I am not able to get any phlegm out using the bulb syringe. Any tips? Should I be worried?

That raspy breathing sounds horrible but apparently as long as they are not struggling for breath or distressed it is OK.... As long as she rouses easily, is alert when awake and is still drinking you are probably alright. Of course you should trust yourself and if you have the slightest doubt get her checked again. Best of luck.

my little girl is almost 5 weeks old and had a cold to it breaks my heart. I know how stressful i have been using saline drops and using a Vick's Humidifier. johnson and johnson has a bath for babys with colds i steam up the bathroom and and this to her bath and it seems to help and sleeping on a incline so it dont go down into her chest and give her lots of fluids.
