Recommend me a good laptop?
I need to get a laptop for college. It will mainly be used for typing papers, notes, study guides etc. So I will be using Microsoft word, excel, and power point frequently on the computer. I also will use it for web surfing. Can someone recommend a good laptop for a college student.
I am not interested in Macs they are over priced in my opinion.

Hi I am a college student currently studying computers, so I know a thing or two. I highly recommend you buy a macbook because they have excellent battery life. I know at first a mac seems expensive but the resale value is what is most important. I have a 2011 macbook pro 13" which I paid €1300 for but I could easily sell it for €900 euro next year. As a college student battery life is very important my mac last about 6 hours while most laptops would only last 2. I did lots of research before making a purchase and I briefly considered buying a lenovo g780 as they are excellent value for money. If money is a concern then buy the lenovo.
The choice is obviously yours, but remember a laptop is very important for college so reliability is paramount.
I hope I help you make an informed decision.

If u want to buy a laptop, buy HP pavilion cos it's good and fast but I'll advice u to get a notebook computer because u said u want to use it in the college for typing and studying and if u want get a suitable notebook computer for such, get a HP 635 cos it's good and it's rocks. If u don't believe me, go to google and search for HP 635 and find all the information about it including the manual(u can download it) and u'll see that it is good and cool and that's what I use to type, play game and browse on the internet. Just take care of it by not letting it to overheat.
