does this deal sound logical?

Mets get: OF Anthony Gose C J.P. Arencibia

Blue Jays get: P R.A. Dickey OF Lucas Duda

    It might be if the Mets were being even slightly reasonable. Dickey is a great story but he is 37 and a knuckleballer and has one year left on his contract.

    The Mets are acting like he's a Cliff Lee or CC Sabathia, in terms of what they want in return.

    He may have won a Cy Young but he is not in the same league as those guys.

    A fair deal? Probably not. The Mets would be HUGE winners here. Dickey is a 37 year old knuckleballer and Duda can't stay in the Majors. Gose is a top tier prospect and Arencibia has some potential left, but not much. Mets win! Mets win!

    Dickey's a great value, but Duda's a dud.

    Maybe if the Mets got Gose OR Arencibia (and another C level prospect), it might make more sense.
